The Hindu ceremony known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Ganesh Chaturthi is of perennial interest to the Hindus all over the world. It is a Vrata observed to obtain knowledge and success in all undertakings. There is not a Hindu ceremony that commences without offering a Pooja for this Deity. Devotees are welcome to participate in the grand Ganesha Chathurthi festival 2020 and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha for success in all undertakings!!
Morning – Ganapathi Homam
6.30am – Nithya Abhishekam
7.00am – Nithya Pooja
8.00am – Sri Ganapathy Homam
9.30am – Collection of Purnahuti trays by Devotees for Maha Purnahuti
10.00am – Special Abhishekam
10.30am – Special Pooja, Aarthi & Prasadham Distribution
11.45am – Annadanam
Temple Closes at 12:00 noon and re-opens at 6:00 pm
Evening – Sandalwood Alangkaram & Procession
6.00 pm Nithya Abishekam for Sri Sivan
6.30 pm Nithya Pooja
7.00 pm Sri Vinayagar Thirusathi Archana
7.30 pm Sri Vinayagar Deeparathana and Vahana procession
8.30 pm Special Pooja, Aarathi & Distribution of Prasadham
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Devotees may participate either in the morning or/and evening special Poojas. In the morning, devotees may participate in the Maha Ganapathy Homam by purchasing a Purnahuthi tray. In the evening, devotees may participate in the Maha Ganapathy Thirusathi Archana and Vahana Procession. Please contact the Priest or the temple administrator for more details.
WHAT TO BRING?
Devotees are welcomed to provide any or all of the following for the Maha Homam and Abishekam: Turmeric powder, Vibuthi, Yoghurt, Milk, Rose water, Sandal wood powder, Ghee, Loose flowers, Garlands, Fruits, Lemon, Honey, Samagiri, Hariali grass, etc.
Clay Ganapathy will be available for sale for you to do Ganapathy Pooja at Home and then immerse in the Sea, River or any Waterways subject to Local restrictions.
